Yesterday afternoon, daddy's family came over to see Evan and Elizabeth. We all shared laughs, ate some pizza, and enjoyed great family time!

A Visit from the Righini Girls

Clare, Riley, and Morgan came to visit yesterday morning. We had a nice time in the playroom and then outside for a walk. Riley got to take a turn to hold Lizzie!

Elizabeth's GI appt

An update......

After Lizzie's 2 week check up...mommy was noticing some same signs of a milk allergy like her big brother had. Instead of calling the pediatrician and going to them...she decided to call the gastroenterologist in Boston and head there because of Evan's past experience. We got an appt. the next day and we headed down. They tested her and she is positive for a milk intolerance NOT the allergy which is more severe. So..we were told to put her on a special formula to make her tummy feel better. We are unsure if she has reflux yet but we go back in a month and will address it then. Signs point to yes for reflux but she is not as uncomfortable as Evan was. So far with the new formula...she is feeling better but still having some rough patches. She weighed in at 9lb.7oz. at the GI doc....so she is growing real nicely!

A 3 year old's view of the world

Evan has been grabbing my camera and taking random shots lately. Not so bad from the mind of a 3 year old! On a side note....we decided to not add the toilet pics! LOL

2 week check-up!

Elizabeth is now 9lb. 5oz. and is 21 inches long! We had to see a nurse practitioner today. She was awesome. She said Elizabeth is growing beautifully. She holds her head up very strong already! Lizzie is still sleeping a lot during the day...has her few rough hours before bed at night and gets a couple small stretches of sleep at night but she needs to reverse her day/nights! Daddy went back to work today after having 2 weeks off so mommy is adjusting to driving Evan to school and having the day with Lizzie and going back to school to get Evan, make dinner, and keep the house going with 2 kids now! Certainly a big change but day 1 has not been so bad!

Elizabeth's First Beach Experience

This morning we headed to North Hampton Beach to check out the huge waves from hurricane Igor. They were amazing! It was Lizzie's first beach experience. The family took a walk on the beach and enjoyed the sounds of the waves!

Bath time

Lizzie had her first real bath last night after her umbilical cord fell off. She likes the warm water but did not enjoy being cold after! After the bath, we got her all dolled up! Afterall, she is a girl!!

First Story

Last night, Evan got his nightly dose of holding his sister. Then mommy read The Very Hungry Caterpillar to Evan and Lizzie. It was Lizzie's first story read to her. She certainly was very in tune to the words in that book and looked right up at mommy remembering hearing her voice reading it to Evan a lot when mommy was pregnant with her! Such a nice feeling.

Big Brother Time

Daddy and Evan had some time together while mommy was taking care of Lizzie. Evan is trying to adjust to having a sister and not all the focus on him all the time. Finger painting was the art project of the night picked by daddy! They worked on handprints, fingerprints, and writing letters...especially the letter "E"

Friendly Visits

It was so nice to have visits from close friends. Dan and Christian came over one night and then the Warren Family headed over Thursday night with dinner for us! Liv got to hold Elizabeth!

Adjusting to Life at home

Life at home has been pretty easy going. Lizzie is a laid back baby and loves to be held and relax all day in between feedings. Mommy was up all night trying to adjust to listening to her sounds. Hopefully she will get some sleep tonight! Evan is doing awesome as usual helping out! We had our first tummy time session tonight and Lizzie was a pro! Next up tonight, first sponge bath!
